“Most of us who decide to call Florida home, assume that obtaining insurance is just a couple of phone calls looking for the best rates and giving our ok like we do in the other states. Not True! We had purchased a home in Cape Coral and called “our” insurance company back in Texas.  We were told “we don’t insure Florida”.  That was the beginning of our education.  I called another insurance carrier located in Florida and was told that I needed a roof inspection, window inspection, stucco inspection and if all was well, they would quote me a price.  That was the whole conversation, no explanation, nothing.  I assured him that that last time we saw the house, it had a roof, windows, and stucco and why did someone else need to verify that? Needless to say, we called Five County Insurance Agency and talked to Ms Christine Callari.  Christine explained everything to us in simple terms.  She gave us a few inspectors names to check out the house for us and answered any of our questions along the way.  Christine even contacted our financial institution when they had questions.  Someone is always available to help, I am not worried that we will be “dropped” as some of the insurance companies here are notorious for that, and when my husband decided to buy a boat, I had no trouble calling Christine and telling her that we needed more continuing education, and boat insurance!! ”
